In fact, the growing number of Americans embracing their right to carry has now led to a new scam aimed directly at concealed carry license holders and those who’ve been thinking about applying for a license of their own. According to multiple law enforcement agencies, the scam involves texts or emails warning the recipient that “today is the last day” for them to apply for a concealed carry license.
The scam has popped up in a number of states, from Massachusetts to Alabama to Utah, and all follow the same similar pattern. Here’s how one Utah law enforcement agency described the scam.
