All too many of the other great tragedies of history - Stalin's atrocities, the killing fields of Cambodia, the Holocaust, to name but a few - were perpetrated by armed troops against unarmed populations. Time to D.O.G.E. the ATF

Well, the future for America is looking pretty good. Donald Trump was just reelected and conservatives took both houses of congress. We are in excellent shape to start trimming the massive amount of fat off the Federal Government hog. In that respect, Trump just announced that he plans to appoint Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to head the new Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE for short.

For those unaware, the name of this department is also an inside joke of sorts, a hat tip to an internet meme and cryptocurrency that was created as a joke.

While the name of this agency has a humorous background, the intent of the department is no joke. The federal government spends money like a drunken sailor who just got paid, who has no family and who thinks he is going to die in a couple months so he has nothing to lose.
