First, the Second Amendment is about defending against the likes of him and his ilk. Secondly, the Second Amendment doesn’t list “approved” arms.

llinois state Rep. Bob Morgan (D) doesn’t believe that law-abiding citizens use modern sporting rifles for self-defense.

“No one uses an AR-15 to protect their families against an intruder,” Morgan wrote on Twitter last week.

“Assault weapons like the ones we saw mow down our friends on the 4th, or recently, East Garfield Park, aren’t used for protection, they’re designed for one purpose: to kill as many people as quickly as possible,” he continued.
