Hickenlooper needs to read the Constitution of the United States of America. The right to drive a car isn’t in the Constitution. The right to bear arms is.
Colorado’s former Democratic governor-turned-2020 presidential hopeful has joined his fellow candidates in laying out a plan for increased gun control at the federal level, should he be elected Commander-in-Chief.
Hickenlooper announced in a statement:
“In this county, before you can drive a car, you have to get a license and demonstrate you can responsibly drive that vehicle. I believe we should create that same rite of passage for gun ownership. Under my plan, people born after 2001 would need to get a license and pass a test that demonstrates they can safely handle and store a gun before they possess one.”
