The ATF’s Assault on DeMonaco: A Warning to All Americans
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has declared war on the Second Amendment, and its treatment of Lawrence DeMonaco, president of Rare Breed Triggers, is a chilling wake-up call for every American. Jews Can Shoot, a staunch defender of constitutional rights, sees the ATF’s actions as a blatant abuse of power that threatens property, livelihoods, and lives, demanding the agency’s abolishment.
In 2021, the ATF branded Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) as illegal machine guns, targeting DeMonaco with aggressive tactics. He was forcibly removed from a car at gunpoint, his property seized, and his life upended, as detailed in firsthand accounts. This wasn’t regulation—it was persecution, designed to intimidate a law-abiding citizen for challenging the ATF’s overreach. The agency’s mass seizures of FRTs from owners, often without recourse, spread fear, forcing some to hide their legal possessions. Such actions echo historical disarmament campaigns, a grim reminder for Jewish Americans who know the cost of defenselessness.
The ATF’s hubris crumbled in 2024 when Judge Reed O’Connor struck down its FRT classification, a ruling cemented by a May 2025 settlement forcing the agency to return seized property and abandon enforcement. Yet, this victory doesn’t erase the damage. DeMonaco’s ordeal—financial ruin, emotional toll, and physical intimidation—shows how the ATF can target anyone at whim, with devastating consequences. Its history, from Waco to Ruby Ridge, warns of deadly escalations, endangering lives over bureaucratic disputes.
Jews Can Shoot demands the ATF’s abolishment, not reform. Regulating a constitutional right alongside alcohol and tobacco is absurd and dangerous. DeMonaco’s suffering is a call to action: dismantle this rogue agency before it strips more Americans of their rights, property, or lives. Our freedom depends on it.
