All too many of the other great tragedies of history - Stalin's atrocities, the killing fields of Cambodia, the Holocaust, to name but a few - were perpetrated by armed troops against unarmed populations. Many could well have been avoided mitigated, had the perpetrators known their intended victims were equipped with a rifle and twenty bullets apiece... If a few hundred Jewish fighter in the Warsaw Ghetto could hold off the Wehrmacht for almost a month with only a handful weapons, six million Jews armed with rifles could not so easily have been herded into cattle cars.

Shopping carts, a popular item that we see and use on a regular basis but let’s add a few more uses.

This shouldn’t be just a post at the holiday season but applies year-round. With “Black Friday” last week and the influx of holiday shopping, make sure that we are utilizing shopping carts to their full potential. QUIT WALKING TO YOUR VEHICLE WITH YOUR HANDS FULL!

Leave those groceries and packages in the shopping cart, know where your keys are, and be ready before leaving that store to go to your vehicle. The cart allows your hands to be free to quickly access whatever weapons platform you are carrying. You can easily let go and get right to work. In addition to fast access, a cart also provides you with a barrier to keep whatever a few feet away from you or to block access between vehicles and aisles. It’s a few feet of metal that gives a few extra seconds to move or fight.

Quit hindering your ability to defend yourself by taking your hands out of the fight.
