The only thing more shocking and sickening than the Hamas massacre of Jewish children is the unbelievable fact that not only is the State of Israel not allowing Israeli citizens gun rights to protect themselves in the face of terror, they are in fact ACTIVELY CONFISCATING the few legal weapons owned by Jews in front line settlements facing near constant terror attacks.
From this post on Twitter, we learn that Amishav Melet, the “Ravshatz” (security coordinator) of the outlying Jewish settlement of Geulat Tzion was issued an M16 to protect his settlement. It was the only rifle in the town and essentially the only thing stopping bloodthirsty Hamas terrorists from decapitating every woman and baby in the community.
Today the IDF confiscated Amishav’s rifle under orders from Israel’s Shin Bet. The reason given for the confiscation are Amishav’s conservative political beliefs.
He writes that just in the last week alone there have been 10 shooting attacks against his settlement and endless attempted attacks.
Confiscating arms from citizens living in a combat zone in a time of war is an act of treason and tantamount to murder. When the citizens of this town are all slaughtered like sheep by heavily armed Hamas terrorists, the State of Israel will have their blood on its hands.
We must all demand that the State of Israel recognize the right to bear arms for all its citizens. If Israel does not stand with its citizens and ensure their freedom and safety, there is no reason why we should stand with Israel in its time of need.
