Non-compliance. That’s how to support the Second Amendment.
In May, Boulder, CO’s City Council unanimously passed a ban on the possession of ‘assault weapons’, high-capacity magazines and bump-stock devices.
The ban went into law June 15th, 2018. The last day to certify a firearm in Boulder is December 27th.
So far, fewer than 1% of gun owners have complied. According to Boulder Police Department, they have certified 85 firearms so far. Not 85 gun owners, 85 firearms. Likely, less than ten people have actually complied.
So far, no bump stocks or magazines above 10 rounds have been turned in.
This is a huge win for the 2nd Amendment.
This is an example of just how the left loses at their dream of gun confiscation.
So what does the City of Boulder do now? City Attorney Tom Carr said that the city is not going to go out looking for people who possess the items that Boulder has banned.
Boulder was not real confident in compliance when it enacted the ban.
