(CNSNews.com) Rep. Mike Bishop (R.-Mich.) was at the field in Alexandria, Va., where a congressional baseball team was practicing for a charity game and was attacked by a gunman on Wednesday morning.

In a remarkable interview with WWJ radio in Detroit, Rep. Bishop described how many more of those attending the practice would have been shot by the gunman had not a Capitol policeman put himself in the line of fire to shoot back.
