When news that reality-star socialite Kim Kardashian had apparently been targeted in a jewelry heist in Paris, it sounded like something out of the movies.

A fabulously wealthy international celebrity who likes to show off her ample assets is robbed by multiple gunmen, with $10 million in diamonds and other jewelry stolen from one of the most exclusive hotels in the world.

And for the National Rifle Association, it was a target too tempting to pass up.
