During a May 7 speech in Lynden, Washington, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump looked at the audience and said, “Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns.”

Trump stressed that Clinton’s plan is not simply to pass more gun control but to “abolish the Second Amendment” altogether.

According to CNN, Trump said, “Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment.” Pressing the point further, he declared, “Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment.”

He said Clinton’s anti-gun positions are so extreme that she will even seek new controls on purchasing ammunition.

Trump pledged that he will approach the Second Amendment in a completely opposite fashion, saying, “We’re going to cherish the Second Amendment, we’re going to take care of the Second Amendment.”
