An armed robber who thought he could get away with cash from a Taco Bell restaurant was blindsided when he came face to face with employees who confronted him with their own firearms.
According to WJW-TV, two armed robbers stormed inside a Cleveland area Taco Bell on Sept. 6 around 2 a.m.
Cleveland.com reported that the robbers demanded that the employees get on the ground before walking up to the cash register to steal money.
That’s when three employees pulled out their own guns in self-defense and fired several shots.
One of the criminals ran out of the fast food restaurant, while the other was critically injured.
When police arrived at the scene, they found one of the robbers with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died at an area hospital.
The man who was fatally shot was identified as 24-year-old De’Carlo Jackson, a man with a lengthy criminal history.
