“I took a beat up old 22lr that jammed every time you would pull the trigger, that I paid $40 for to one of these things because they were offering $100 gift card to Dicks sporting goods. Then bought a new 22lr with the gift card and $25 extra bucks😂 it was a great trade in my opinion. This was when Dicks sporting goods still sold firearms and wasn’t the woke turd of a company it is now. So hey if yall have them broke down worn out guns that honestly worth less than the gift card…. spend the card to where ever and buy a new one with the money you saved and upgrade.”

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso County will hold a gun buyback event on Saturday.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Ascarate County Tax Office.

People are able to turn in unwanted firearms in exchange for gift cards, no questions asked.

The firearms must be unloaded and transported in the trunk of the vehicle.

There is no limit on firearms per vehicle.

Firearms accepted:

$50-nin functioning firearms
$100- Rifles or shotguns
$150- Handguns
$200- Assault rifles

Ghost guns will not be accepted.
